Playa Maruata's best accommodations have rather lovely tile-floored, palapa (thatched-roof) cabins on a hillside overlooking the far-right beach. There's a decent restaurant here and the center runs boat trips as well as excursions to see the turtles at night (M$150 including food). The Centro is a sustainable-tourism project run by a group of local indigenous people.
