Set around a delightful bay with glowing aquamarine water, 15km west of Marsa Matruh on the Sallum highway, this resort has comfortable rooms done up in a safari theme, with elephant paintings, dark-wood furnishings and cane chairs on the balconies. The overall feel is a bit institutional, but the beach is certainly one of the nicest in the area.
