From 1923 to 1990 the Hotel Lanaʻi was the only hotel on the island, and it seems that little has changed over the decades, in Lana'i City at least. The tropical plantation–inspired rooms have hardwood floors, marble showers and splashes of color.
Go for a room with – appropriately – a lanai (veranda) for viewing town, or opt for privacy and quiet in the detached cottage out back. A modest continental breakfast is provided.
