Bearpaw High Sierra Camp

Sequoia National Park

An 11.3-mile hike east of Crescent Meadow on the High Sierra Trail, this canvas-tent village at 7800ft is ideal for exploring the backcountry without lugging your own gear. Rates for each of the six tents include showers, dinner and breakfast, as well as bedding and towels. Bookings start at 7am PST every January 2 and places sell out almost immediately.

Though you can always check for last-minute cancellations, call the reservations line too, as they often know about cancellations first.
