Alta's classiest hotel has attractive rooms (some have large photos of the Northern Lights) and excellent service, although some rooms are on the small side. Try for one of the west-facing rooms with views over the Northern Lights Cathedral. The Alta restaurant is also also excellent and there's a bar (closed Sundays).
