This fantastically conceived complex on a ridge overlooking Bacuit Bay makes generous use of native materials and is built around a huge mango tree in the central courtyard. It's all leafy goodness and exquisitely carved wood. The pricier rooms have sea-facing terraces and are preferred to the standard rooms, which, while spacious and tasteful, are closer to the road.
Blue Mango is not on the beach, but action-packed Lugadia Beach is within walking distance. Ask the owner about the offshore full-moon parties he puts together.
