Pura Vida Cabilao

Pura Vida sits alone on the northeastern tip of the island and is managed by a German–Filipino team. Renovated in 2015, its sophisticated, spotless thatched cottages and rooms are very well furnished. The restaurant has sweeping ocean views, Sea Explorers dive shop is on-site and there's a small spa for massages. It's a five-minute walk from the pier in Cambaquiz.
