Amazon Basin

This beautifully located rustic lodge, accessible via a fun jeep ride along a rough track coiling up from the La Merced–Oxapampa road, nestles around 1200m up in waterfall-laced cloud forest. It's a place for true adventurers: here you will trek on precipitous high jungle paths, observe cocks-of-the- rock and other birdlife and help gather firewood or plants for dinner.

Mountain-biking and waterfall-climbing are available for S80 per person extra. The journey back to civilization is particularly unique, on a mini cable car that whizzes across the river far below the property. The unusual name derives from the beginnings of the names of all the owner's children.
