Hotel El Brujo

Trujillo

This is a solid (though slightly boring) midrange option. It is clean and quiet, and its location close to several northern bus stations adds to the convenience factor. Despite the rad Brujo wall sculpture in the lobby, it's very businesslike, with spacious modern rooms and all the requisite amenities (minibar, cable TV and writing desk).

There's another branch outside the city center in Urbanización La Merced, so make sure to specify the address to taxi drivers.
