Ideally located between one of the town’s most lush and pleasant plazoletas (small squares) and the ocean, this superbly welcoming, family-run spot will have you feeling like kin within minutes of arrival. From the outside it’s indistinguishable from any number of dismissible Peruvian guesthouses, but the great Mediterranean-inspired rooms offer a pleasant surprise.
There a guest kitchen and proper hot water. Best of all? The family makes addictive homemade cremoladas (artisanal ice creams, S4). Take your pick from 25 different flavors and ask don Carlos to explain their health benefits (cappuccino and coconut are extraordinary).
