Hotel Casona Colón Inn

An elegant European-owned casona (large house) with helpful staff. Part of its charm is the Republican-era building with a covered courtyard, and decorated with Cuzco-school paintings and frescos. The on-site restaurant specializes in Belgian and French cuisine; reservations are recommended. Rooms are smallish but with all amenities, including portable heaters and safes, while shared spaces are sumptuously atmospheric.
