Marañón Hotel

Iquitos

Inhale. Through the strong odor of cleaning products, there it is, unmistakably: tumbleweed. This place, looking a little like a stranded ferry but feeling more like the Mary Celeste, has light tiles everywhere and rooms with good-sized bathrooms, minibars and indeed all the usual amenities. Good value if you don't mind abandoning all hope of atmosphere.
