Nonguests are welcome at Nusa Island Retreat (call ahead to arrange transfers). Indeed, it would be a shame to miss out on its dinner buffet (K77; by reservation). Or you could tuck into a copious burger, red curry or Thai fish cake at lunchtime and take a dip once you’ve digested your meal. The laid-back, toes-in-the-sand dining area is first-rate.
