Near the junction to the upper plateau and without a view, this hotel feels empty even when full. With an open fire in the lobby in winter and a wind howling around the wacky stained-glass domes, the hotel (the first to be built on Jebel Akhdar) at least has character. Rooms are utilitarian but comfortable, and there's a licensed restaurant.
Buffet lunch and dinner cost OR8 and are open to nonresidents, and picnic boxes (OR5) can be ordered. Mountain bikes are available for hire (OR10 for six hours).
