Ekeberg Restaurant

Top choice

Lars Backer’s early Oslofunkis (functionalist) masterpiece from 1929 fell into disrepair in the 1980s but happily is again here for all to enjoy, with a New Nordic dining room known for its simple, careful and elegant cooking. There's also a summertime eyrie terrace serving burgers, mussels and fries, and prawn sandwiches.

Even if you're not interested in Modernist architecture, come for the Oslofjord and city views.
