Sensitively designed in the image of a traditional Macedonian (Ottoman) house, Hotel Teatar is without doubt one of the loveliest hotels in the country. Rooms are spacious, simple and stylish, with large comfortable beds. The common areas display ethnographic costumes, and there's a secluded central courtyard with tables for drinks and breakfast.
The hotel also rents out a handful of modern apartments in a block down the street, which are serviceable (particularly for families), but have none of the charm of the hotel itself.
The hotel name derives from the independent theatre in its basement, used for private events and local performances.
