Over 60 years old, this hotel in the middle of colonial Old Calabar is a throwback to a different era. It's very basic with tubs of water for washing, but staff will be pleased to host you. There's no air-con, and electricity is sporadic, but get the top room with a balcony overlooking the sea and you'll find yourself transported.
