Owned by local anthropologist, activist and entrepreneur Kensy Sambola, this very comfortable budget hotel has spotless fan-cooled rooms, all but one of which share bathrooms. The restaurant serves tremendous seafood meals (US$6-9) and Kensy and her staff can organize a range of cultural activities, including boat transport to La Fe, a Garifuna village famous for its acoustic troubadours.
