Marea Alta

Managua

One of the more highly respected seafood restaurants in town, with white linen service and a chance to hobnob with well-heeled Managuans. Some of the dishes work better than others: the live conchas negras (black clams) wrestle your tongue into submission and the lobster thermidor sauce is somewhat gloopy, but we like the seared tuna tataki and steamed garlicky clams.
