Doña Pilar’s been here for years, and this popular evening fritanga is a neighborhood institution, both for its juicy, crispy BBQ chicken and the range of ever-so-slightly greasy tacos and enchiladas. It's a good introduction to typical Nicaraguan cuisine, with huge side servings of gallo pinto (rice and beans), chopped pickled cabbage and plantain chips.
