At the time of writing, Allan Nation is 64 years old. He's been getting up at 2am to bake since he was 17. Allan learned from his late father, who also baked in the original ovens that used to feed soldiers at Waiouru Army Camp. The shop looks like a convenience store, but the world-famous homemade chocolate eclairs are why you're here.
As well as making 30kg of chocolate icing for the eclairs each day, Allan churns out pies, huge sausage rolls, wild-berry turnovers, doughnuts, rich slices and chewy cookies. This is next-level car snacking territory.
