Quite the best place to see and be seen on the Ponsonby strip, SPQR is a magnet for local scenesters who are quick to nab the tables on the footpath. Head inside for a more discreet assignation lit by the flattering glow of candles reflected in the burnished copper bar. The food is excellent too, especially the Roman-style thin-crust pizza.
