Invercargill's liveliest gastropub is rightly popular and not bad-looking either, with trendy wallpaper and muted lighting from oversized lampshades. There's live music on Fridays and Saturdays from 9pm. Food is a cut above the usual pub fare: ricotta tarts, salads topped with medium-rare lamb (mains $14 to $26), or perhaps a joint of meat to share between friends ($70).
