The Hauraki Gulf is at its glistening best when viewed from Mudbrick’s picturesque veranda. The pretty formal gardens make it popular with weddings, which periodically take over the restaurant (make sure you book ahead). The winery also offers tastings (from $10, 10am to 4pm). More informal dining is available at Archive (mains $38 to $42), a shaded bistro with garden views.
