Decent pies, big breakfasts and salads combine with good coffee and locally brewed beer at this spot with lots of outdoor seating and funky Kiwiana decor. We can recommend the Puku burrito with chicken and chilli jam for a Barrier brunch. From late December to Easter, opening hours are extended and it's time for cold beers and My Fat Puku's wood-fired pizza oven.
Warmer months are also the time for cocktails made with Great Barrier's very own Island Gin, crafted entirely off the grid with local honey and triple-filtered Barrier water.
