Walking past, you’d never guess this newly renovated, palm-shaded oasis lay just behind all the dreary buildings on 26th St. The airy, tiled lobby is entered across a fish pond and there’s an attractive outdoor pool (non-guests US$5). Statuettes, local paintings and some genuinely funky accents add some interest to rooms that are comfortable if not luxurious.
