Kyi Tin Hotel

Mandalay

Kyi Tin's defining feature is its series of aging balcony-fronted bungalows set in a large yet central lawn-and-fountain courtyard. The whole space has a simple Burma-colonial style with black lacquered wooden floors. It offers fair value in the city centre, especially because of its pool, and even more so if you can seize a promotional rate.

Less-interesting 'deluxe' rooms, with subdued cream-brown colours, are in a more modern block.
