Continuing the tradition of sustainable, community-involved lakeside lodges, N'Tendele is a tranquil and beautifully simple place set in 4 hectares of miombo (woodland). It offers unadorned dorm or double rooms as well cottage tents, but, with the wilderness on your veranda, you won't be spending much time in them.

Self-contained and wonderfully isolated, the lodge lays on plenty of spontaneous activities (walks, fishing, snorkelling) and food.

Situated south of the village of Meponda, 65km west of Lichinga and 160km south of Metangula, it's only reachable by boat. The owners can arrange pickups from Lichinga. Bookings are essential.
