Hamadi

Tangier

Hamadi, an institution in Tangier for well over 50 years, has elegant red sofas and carpeted walls that may appear over the top, but the kitchen backs it up. Pie-slice–sized chicken bastilla (stuffed savoury-sweet pie) sprinkled with cinnamon is a menu standout, as is lamb tajine. Live traditional music attracts a crowd nightly, including plenty of tour groups.
