El Morocco Club

Top choice in Tangier

King Mohammed VI was seen dining here, which is as good a recommendation as any. A very smart renovation of this elegant building along the medina wall has resulted in an upmarket restaurant and atmospheric red-lit piano bar (from 8pm). The food fuses French and Moroccan flavours and is of the utmost quality.

During the day, there's a cafe (9am-5pm) on the cobblestone under the trees.
