Melting Pot Hostel

Tangier

This medina hostel in a well-lit courtyard once had a firm grasp on the backpacker market, but has slipped in recent years. Dorms have no natural light and uncomfortable beds. Common areas fare better, with a big kitchen and plenty of chill-out space including a roof terrace with terrific views.

It's a short walk from Petit Socco or, if you're walking up from the port, the Hotel Continental.
