Hotel Continental

Tangier

This grand hotel overlooking the strait offers a fascinating taste of International Zone archaeology; parts of The Sheltering Sky were filmed here. There are 54 rustic rooms (75% face the sea), which all received the direly needed additions of air-conditioning, modern TVs and proper toilets. The hotel has a large, dusty craft shop.
