Riad d’Or

Meknes

This labyrinthine guesthouse occupies three buildings, with rooms accessible by odd staircases and opening onto unexpected courtyards. It's a bit of a sprawling shambles (maintenance is needed), but the staff is welcoming, some of the large, well-priced rooms can sleep four or more, and there's a decent-size swimming pool. Allergy sufferers note: cats live here.
