Abutting the kasbah, Escale Rando is a romantic little spot centred on a courtyard with gardens, lights, fountains and 26 tortoises. There are four high-ceilinged rooms, a fully equipped kitchen and, for hot nights, a terrace where guests can sleep alongside the kasbah battlements. Dinners are exceptional. Some English is spoken.
