Riad Kalaa

Rabat

This restored 19th-century riad has retained its traditional character, with 11 rooms and deluxe suites spread around a sky-high courtyard, with smooth tadelakt (waterproof limestone plaster) walls, tiled floors and comfortable beds. Up top, there’s a roof terrace and pool, and the popular courtyard restaurant (open to nonguests) serves up typical Moroccan fare – salads, tajines and sticky desserts (three-course menu Dh280).
