Auberge Ain Sahla

Top choice in Tazekka National Park

The Auberge is a large complex set in magnificent gardens with citrus trees, pomegranates, date palms, running water and pergolas dripping with bunches of grapes. The red pisé buildings hide a veritable warren of rooms of various sizes, all with magnificent views across the mountains to the peak of Jebel Tazekka. Eat outside around the pool or in the large restaurant with its grand piano.

There's a hammam. Ramps for wheelchair access and ground floor rooms make life easier for those in need.

Dinner costs Dh150.

Various guided walks are offered to see birds and animals, and day trips to the gorges: 1-2 hours for 1 person Dh100 then Dh25 per person thereafter; 4-8 hours per person from Dh200.

The quickest access to the lodge is to exit the A2 motorway at Oued Amlil, 84km from Fez and 35km from Taza, and take the P5420 through the park for 25km.
