Ignore the uninspiring facade and head straight to the poolside terrace for gorgeous valley views above the swaying palms. Steps down in to the palmeraie (palm grove) allow for morning and evening walks, after which you can collapse in an enormous wrought-iron bed. It makes a good lunch stop (Dh80) and guides Mohammed and Said can arrange excursions further afield.
