Camp Al Koutban

Wild Morocco's secluded desert camp is just a 90-minute round-trip hike from Erg Chigaga's tallest dune. Hike – or let a camel take the strain – sandboard and stargaze. The 150km off-road return journey is all part of the experience, as you bounce over hamada (rocky desert) studded with acacia and tamarisk, stopping for panoramic vistas and tea with seminomadic desert dwellers.
