Ulaanbaatar

Hidden behind an ugly facade is this popular bistro that does homemade pastas, pizzas, sandwiches and salads, all made with high-quality local and imported ingredients. Many items are made in-house, including the breads. The atmosphere is smart and businesslike, and it's popular with expats.

It's tucked off the street in the ground floor of a five-storey grey building next to a large ger. There's also its Butchery, a small grocery that sells its bread, locally sourced meats and gourmet treats.
