Opéra de Monte Carlo

Also known as the Salle Garnier, Monaco's opera house is an 1892 confection of neoclassical splendour adjoining Monte Carlo Casino, designed by Charles Garnier (who also designed the Paris opera house). The season runs from October through April. It also serves as a venue for concerts by the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra (www.opmc.mc) and dance performances by Les Ballets de Monte Carlo (www.balletsdemontecarlo.com).
