Genesis Eco-Oasis

Top choice in Yucatán State & the Maya Heartland

This retreat offers B&B intimacy in a quiet, laid-back ecofriendly setting. Mostly it's environmentally friendly: gray water is used for landscaping, the rooms' architecture (pitched, thatched roofs) encourages passive cooling and there's a dehydrating toilet or two. There’s a swimming pool and it offers delicious veggie meals made from scratch.

The hotel closes in September and sometimes early October also. Reservations required. Wi-fi is in the lobby only.
