Perla Escondida

Yucatán State & the Maya Heartland

On a quiet white-sand coast just west of Dzilam de Bravo, the Perla Escondida (Hidden Pearl) truly lives up to its name. Don't be put off by the rather 'messy' back entrance. A surprise awaits: the cabins sit right on the beach. Your hosts can arrange various activities, such as bird-watching, a cenote outing or fishing trips.

Breakfast costs M$70. The complex was expanding at the time of research. A sandbar about a half-kilometer offshore makes a relaxing spot to while away the day. It's 1km west of Dzilam de Bravo.
