Centro Cultural Rosario Castellanos

Chiapas

The Centro Cultural Rosario Castellanos started life in the 16th century as a set of monastic buildings. Since then it's been both a government building and a school and it now serves as a vibrant cultural center. Short-stay visitors aren't likely to sign up to one of the guitar or piano courses but it's worth having a look inside in order to enjoy the pretty wood-pillared patio featuring a mural on local history.
