It’s a destination hotel – you may not want to leave the whole weekend – so the fact that it’s not in the center of town isn't too important. The large rooms are beautifully understated, many with terraces overlooking the gardens, which are full of peacocks and boast a heated pool. Rates are cheaper midweek.
