Mercado de Artesanías

The work of over 100 contemporary Atzompa potters is on sale in the Mercado de Artesanías: items range from animal figures and lampshades to pots, plates, cups and more – some bearing Atzompa’s traditional green glaze, others in more colorful, innovative styles. Prices are reasonable but much of the best work goes to shops in Oaxaca and elsewhere.
