Many of the hotels in the center of Puerto Escondido are fly-blown places and rather unappealing, but not this little hotel overseen by a friendly family who also run a shop out front. Rooms are simple but big enough to store a surfboard, plus there’s a welcome water cooler, hot-ish showers and wi-fi that works.
