Opened in 2012 and still looking as plush as the day it was born, Secrets is a pretty ravishing offering. For starters, there’s the location, perched above the golden ribbon of Playa Conejos between two spinach-colored headlands. Then there’s the Vegas-sized super-rooms with Jacuzzi baths, Nespresso machines, dressing gowns, slippers and private pools, not to mention the more prosaic essentials.
Communal areas are equally extravagant from the exotic gardens to the polished apples on the reception desk. Indeed, the place is scrubbed so clean, you almost have to walk around in sunglasses. And did we mention the spa, gym, bird-watching trail and two kidney-shaped pools?
