Not as monstrous in size as your average all-inclusive, the Binniguenda is a historical monument in Huatulco years. It was the resort’s first hotel when it opened in 1987. With its refined ambience, small attractive pool and colonial-style architecture, it hasn’t aged badly. Indeed, a 2012 renovation has meant it remains proudly plush.
While not on the beach, the hotel is close to Santa Cruz’s sand and has a nice quiet feel. With only 77 rooms, it is just small enough to merit a more intimate personable level of service. Look for online deals.
