Freedom Shores

Top choice in Campeche State

Set in a beautiful, palm-fringed garden, rooms at this spot are as minimalist and unfussy as they are spacious and airy. Some rooms face the sea, others the garden. RVs are permitted to camp (M$400), and there's an excellent restaurant on-site with a beach-side palapa. A lovely owner can help organize tours.

The entire complex is wheelchair friendly. It's a lovely spot to chill for a few days or a good en-route option if you're heading north or south. They also can arrange tours to the lagoon for birding, fishing, dolphin-viewing and more. Deep-water fishing is also possible.
