Nieves del Malecón

Jarochos prefer sorbets (nieves) over ice cream and this is one of the town’s sorbet favorites, sandwiched between the malecón and the zócalo. Loquacious ‘callers’ stand outside drumming up business, competing with a rival place (with its own ‘callers’) directly across the street. Try the delicious mamey (apple) flavor, or opt for the Veracruz staple, vanilla.
